At Tropical Bank Limited, we believe that learning doesn’t stop with books — it also grows in the soil. That’s why we have partnered with several schools in Uganda for a tree-planting campaign, targeting 20,000 trees by the end of 2026 under the theme: “Green Schools, Greener Future.”

On 28th September 2025, we officially launched this initiative on Environmental Sustainability at Kibuli Secondary School, where the first trees of this journey were planted. The initiative is designed to nurture communities, protect the environment, and shape a sustainable tomorrow.

“Every tree we plant represents a promise to the environment, our children, and the future generations,” said Hajat Joweria Mukalazi, Executive Director, during the launch.

The excitement and enthusiasm from the students and teachers were inspiring. Beyond providing shade and improving air quality, the trees will also bear fruits and leave a lasting legacy for communities.
