Ibrahim Senyonga Atwoki

Dir. Ibrahim Senyonga brings over 20 years of experience in the banking and telecommunications sectors, with 15 years in executive and managerial roles. He has extensive expertise in strategic planning, banking operations, customer service, risk management, and digital transformation.
He currently serves as General Manager, MTN Business, a role he has held since 2019. Prior to this, he served as Executive Director and Head of Retail Banking at KCB, and Regional Manager at DFCU Bank. His leadership journey began at DFCU Bank, where he rose through the ranks from Banking Officer to Senior Manager. In 2014, he participated in the prestigious Rabo Talent Program at Rabo Bank in the Netherlands.
He holds an AMBA-accredited MBA from the University of Leicester (UK), and has undertaken advanced executive training from Oxford University (UK) in New Economics Power, INSEAD (France) in Asset and Liability Management, and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (UK) where he earned MCIPS status. He also holds a BBA in Accounting from Makerere University, alongside certifications in Debt Management (UMI) and Information Technology (Institute of Data Processing). He brings to the Board a wealth of knowledge in governance, innovation, and operational efficiency—making him a valuable asset in steering strategic direction and institutional growth.
Prof. Twaha Kigongo Kaawaase
Non-Executive Director
Prof. Twaha Kigongo Kaawaase is a distinguished academic, professional accountant, and public servant with vast experience in auditing, accounting, and governance. He holds a PhD in Auditing from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, and qualifications from the University of Birmingham and Makerere University. He is a Fellow of ACCA (UK), and a member of ICPAU and ICGU.
Prof. Kaawaase lectures at Makerere University Business School and is an accomplished researcher, winning the Makerere Vice Chancellor’s Research Excellence Award in 2024. Since 1988, he has also practiced as a certified public accountant with Sejjaaka, Kaawaase & Co.
He serves as Resident Independent Director at Tropical Bank Ltd., Chairman of Marsh International Insurance Brokers (U) Ltd, and is a board member of Simba Group and others. He has contributed to national institutions including the Capital Markets Authority, National Planning Authority, and Public Accountants Examination Board.
In the Kingdom of Buganda, he is the First Deputy Premier and Minister for Administration, ICT, Innovations, and Transparency. He has held several traditional leadership roles since 1996 and chairs the Kabaka Birthday Run and Buganda Kingdom Provident Fund, actively supporting community and cultural development.
Gamal Taher E. Bezan

Director Gamal Taher E. Bezan brings over 30 years of experience in banking, finance, international business, and governance. His expertise spans trade finance, credit and marketing, compliance, and electronic banking services, with a strong foundation in international relations and data analysis.
He currently serves as Head of Electronic Banking Services at the Libyan Foreign Bank (LFB), a role he assumed in 2023. Prior to this, he served in several senior positions within LFB and Alubaf Arab International Bank in Bahrain, including Deputy Manager of the Libyan Dinar Unit, Head of the Libyan Families Foreign Currency Project (Central Bank of Libya Committee), Manager of Credit and Marketing, and Assistant Manager in Trade Finance. His extensive experience reflects a broad and in-depth understanding of both domestic and international banking operations.
He holds a Master of Arts in International Business (with merit) from Leeds Metropolitan University (UK), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Tripoli University. He also holds advanced diplomas in Computer Software and English Language & Education Studies, along with an ICDL certification and Pre-MBA qualification from the University of Leeds. He brings to the Board valuable knowledge in governance, credit assessment, compliance oversight, and the digital transformation of banking services—supporting sound strategic decisions and operational excellence.
Moses Kaggwa
Non-Executive Director
Moses Kaggwa is a highly experienced public finance expert with over 30 years in Uganda’s public service. As Director of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, he plays a key role in shaping Uganda’s economic and fiscal policies, driving inclusive growth, and promoting macroeconomic stability.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Makerere University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation and Law of Economics from the University of Florida, alongside advanced training in economic modelling, oil and gas fiscal policy, and financial programming.
Moses has led major tax reforms, designed the Domestic Revenue Mobilization Strategy, and championed financial inclusion through the Microfinance Regulatory Authority. He was also a lead negotiator for Uganda in key East African Community protocols and played a central role in stabilizing Uganda’s macroeconomic indicators—including increasing domestic revenues from 7% to 14.3% of GDP and reducing poverty to 16.1%.
He chairs the Uganda Financial Action Task Force technical team and the Uganda Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, advancing transparency in financial systems and natural resource governance. Currently, he is leading the implementation of the Ten-Fold Growth Strategy and the Parish Development Model to drive Uganda’s next phase of economic transformation.
Mr. Abdulaziz M.A. Mansur has served as Managing Director of Tropical Bank Limited (TBL) since September 2019. With over 30 years of experience in banking and finance, his expertise spans financial management, credit and risk oversight, international banking, strategic leadership, and Islamic finance.
He holds a Master’s in Accounting and Finance from Yeditepe University (Istanbul), a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and a Higher Diploma in Management and Finance from the National Management Institute, along with professional certifications including CPA and Credit Management.
Prior to joining TBL, Mr. Mansur was CEO of Nuran Bank – Libya (2010–2019), where he led the successful launch of one of Libya’s first fully Sharia-compliant banks. He also held various leadership roles at Libyan Foreign Bank, and earlier worked at A&T Leasing Company in Istanbul.
He has served on the boards of the Arab Turkish Bank – Istanbul and as Chairman of the Libyan Leasing Company – Tripoli.
Mr. Mansur is known for his strategic vision, governance strength, and deep knowledge of regional and global banking, driving TBL’s ongoing transformation and value creation.
Hajjat Joweria holds an MBA from the University of East London, a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, complemented by a Financial Inclusion certification from the World Bank Group. Her legal foundation was built through work with JN Kirland & Associates, Makeera & Co. Advocates, and volunteering at the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative.
